In this evening’s talk, Soryu discusses the importance of befriending yourself during practice. For example, if you continually get distracted, it is important to be loving and supportive of yourself. This is an important facet of the observer consciousness that we should develop. We also learn about a psychology experiment that shows a difference in learning styles between Eastern and Western kindergartners and from this, we learn the value of struggle.
